Invoicemate("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use invoicemate.co.za and related services, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

2. Information we collect

  • Account details: name, email address, authentication identifiers
  • Business profile: company name, address, phone, registration and VAT numbers
  • Customer data you enter on invoices: names, addresses, emails, VAT numbers
  • Invoice history, line items, and uploaded logos
  • Billing metadata from Paystack (subscription status — we do not store card numbers)
  • Technical logs: IP address, browser type, security events (e.g. reCAPTCHA)

3. Why we collect it

We process personal information to provide invoicing services, authenticate users, process subscriptions, prevent fraud, comply with law, and improve the platform.

4. Sharing

We share data only with service providers necessary to operate Invoicemate (Firebase/Google Cloud, Paystack, Vercel). We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by South African law.

5. Retention & security

Data is retained while your account is active and as needed for legal/accounting purposes. We apply access controls, encryption in transit, and server-side storage rules. You are responsible for securing your login credentials.

6. Your rights

Under POPIA you may request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal information. Use Settings → Privacy in the app or email support@invoicemate.co.za.
